Video: The flaw in every voting system

Our entry to the Summer of Math Exposition 3 video contest. And this time, it’s actual math, none of that computer science mumbo jumbo.

It’s about strategic voting: for every voting system, it can happen that it pays off for some voters to submit ballots that aren’t their real preference. Then, in true Polylog fashion, we segue into several semi-related topics, like Arrow’s theorem, approval voting, and trolling your own comment section.

The monkeys are voiced by my sister Alžběta. I’m really glad she agreed to help us, especially because in the beta version, they were voiced by me making a silly monkey falsetto voice. Glad that didn’t make it into the final cut.
